Con una edición limitada dedicada a la Fundación Laureus Sport for Good, IWC Schaffhausen está mostrando su apoyo por sexta vez a todos los niños y adolescentes que se enfrentan a condiciones de vida difíciles. El fabricante de relojes está poniendo en marcha el cronógrafo Portofino en azul Laureus, esta característica simboliza la esperanza de un futuro mejor.

With a limited special edition for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, IWC Schaffhausen is showing its support for the sixth time to children and adolescents who are confronted with the most trying conditions in the course of their everyday lives. The watch manufacturer is launching the Portofino Chronograph in characteristic Laureus blue as a symbol of hope for a better future.

El Portofino Cronógrafo Edición Laureus Sport for Good Foundation en acero inoxidable está disponible en una edición limitada de 2.500 relojes. La exclusiva pieza de relojería tiene como sello distintivo de color azul, que combina la elegancia y la sencillez con un toque deportivo. Es un perfecto ejemplo del diseño y la moderna  tecnología. Los elementos del cronómetro han sido tan hábilmente integrados que la sencillez típica de la Portofino se mantiene. Los marcadores de temporización están incluidos en la esfera en posición "9 en punto", que elegantemente contrarresta con los marcadores de día y fecha en el lado opuesto de la esfera. El Portofino Cronógrafo Edición Laureus Sport for Good Foundation es accionado a través de un probado y testado calibre 79320 con 44 horas de reserva de marcha y una cuerda automática con rotor colocado sobre un rodamiento de bolas.

Un grabado especial embellece la parte posterior de la caja. 

The Portofino Chronograph Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in stainless steel is available in a limited edition of 2,500 watches. The exclusive timepiece in the hallmark shade of blue combines understated elegance with a distinctive sporting flair and is a perfect example of successful design and modern technology. The stopwatch elements have been so skillfully integrated that the simplicity typical of the Portofino is retained. The chronograph dial, too, is equally restrained without sacrificing any of its functionality. The aggregate timing displays are joined by a small seconds at “9 o’clock”, which elegantly counterbalances the day and date displays on the opposite side of the dial. The Portofino Chronograph Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is powered by the tried and tested 79320 calibre with a 44-hour power reserve and automatic winding with a ballbearing rotor. A special engraving embellishes the back of the case.

Este año, de acuerdo con la tradición, IWC Schaffhausen organiza su Concurso de dibujo entre todos los niños de la Laureus Sport for Good.

Con el tema "Hora de inspirar”, los niños y los jóvenes de todo el mundo, con edades comprendidas entre 4 y 16, pasan a tomar parte de este bello proyecto.

El jurado finalmente optó por una ilustración de una niña de 7 años de edad de Sri Lanka, Kumara Wadu Parami Apsara, que es parte del proyecto “Seenigama Sport Live”. La joven, que nació exactamente un mes antes del devastador tsunami, se ha inspirado en el tema para representar cuatro niñas felices jugando y divirtiéndose sin preocuparse por el mundo. 

This year, in keeping with tradition, IWC Schaffhausen organized its annual children’s drawing competition among all the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation projects worldwide. The subject “Time to inspire” motivated children and young people all over the world, aged between 4 and 16, to take part. The jury finally chose an illustration by 7-year-old Kumara Wadu Parami Apsara from Sri Lanka, who is part of the Seenigama Sport for Life project. The young girl, who was born exactly a month before the devastating tsunami, took inspiration from the subject to depict four young girls happily playing and enjoying themselves without a care in the world. 

La obra ganadora está grabada en la caja trasera de esta edición especial y sirve como un recordatorio de que parte de las ganancias que generen las ventas ayudarán a los niños de todo el mundo a sobrellevar las dificultades y a encontrar la valentía a pesar de todos los reveses y las pérdidas que han sufrido.
 

The winning entry is engraved into the case back of the special edition and serves as a reminder that part of the proceeds from sales will help children all over the world come to terms with their difficulties and find renewed courage despite all the setbacks and losses they have suffered.
