Esta semana se ha celebrado la 66 edición del Festival de Cannes 2013.

La alfombra roja ha contado con la presencia del elenco de "El Gran Gatsby" como protagonistas. La cinta de Baz Luhrmann, protagonizada por Leonardo DiCaprio y Carey Mulligan, se presenta fuera de concurso en un festival que este año tiene a Steven Spielberg como presidente del jurado.

This week has been celebrated the 66th Cannes Film Festival 2013.

The red carpet was attended by the cast of "The Great Gatsby" as protagonists. Baz Luhrmann's film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, is presented out of competition at a festival that this year is Steven Spielberg as jury president.

Skin and sun, summer is coming

El sol es imprescindible para la vida y tiene varios beneficios, siempre que se tome con precaución y evitando lo excesos. El verano nos llama a conseguir un bronceado espectacular, pero no hay que olvidar que existe una gran variedad de productos que se adaptan a cada persona y que ayudan a mantener la piel sana.
Sunshine is essential for life and has many beneficial effects, providing precautions are taken and excesses are avoided. Summertime lures us to a spectacular tan, but we mustn´t forget that there is a big range of products catering of each type of person and which can help us to maintain a healthy skin.

Los rayos ultravioleta son una forma invisible de radiación, pueden penetrar en la piel y dañar las células. Las quemaduras de son son un signo de daño en la piel y se producen cuando la cantidad de exposición al sol o a otra fuente de rayos ultravioleta excede la capacidad del pigmento protector del cuerpo, la melanina. Pueden llegar a ser tan graves como las quemaduras térmicas y tener los mismos efectos en la piel como ampollas, edema y fiebre. Los rayos UV pueden causar lesiones en la piel durante cualquier estación del año y a cualquier temperatura, pero en época estival es cuando nos exponemos a ellos de forma consciente y durante mayor número de horas.

Ultraviolet rays are an invisible form of radiation; they can penetrate the skin and damage the cells. Sunburn is a sign of skin damage and is produced when the amount of exposure to the sun or other source of ultraviolet rays exceeds the capacty of the body´s pigment protection: melanin. They can be as serious as heat burns and have the same effects on the skin, such as blisters, oedemas and fever. UV rays cause skin lesions any time of the year and at any temperature, but during the summer is when we consciously increase exposure and for a greater number of hours

Los protectores solares son agentes que ayudan a prevenir que los rayos ultravioletas lleguen a la piel, los podemos encontrar como filtros físicos o químicos. Los filtros físicos son impermeables a la radiación solar y actúan a modo de pantalla. Los filtros químicos actúan por absorción de la radiación solar ultravioleta. Cada persona tiene que conocer su especial sensibilidad a la exposición solar y saber el tiempo que se puede exponer al sol sin riesgo de quemaduras para elegir el factor de protección solar adecuado. Hay que recordar que todas las medidas para protegernos del sol son pocas. Todos estos productos se pueden encontrar en el local C de CC Plaza del Duque.

Sunscreens are protectors which help us to stop ultraviolet rays from reaching the skin - we can find them in the form of physical or chemical screens. Physical filters are impervious to solar radiation and act as screens. Chemical filters absorb solar ultraviolet rays. Each person must know his or her special sensitivity to sun exposure and know how much time they can sunbathe without risk of sunburn, by choosing the adequate protection factor. We have to remember that we can never be careful enough with sunrays. You can find all of these products in the local C of Plaza del Duque Shopping Center.
